On Sunday I was lucky enough to have a booked myself a place on Photocraft’s “Inspiration Day for Designers and Makers”.
A warm cuppa is always a bonus as a mummy of two little ones. However the knowledge, skills and all round brilliant nuggets of information, that Lyndsey James and her collegues on the day, Suzy Rai and Daniel Phillips shared could only be described as invaluable for me. Especially as someone working alone (well with Mr Marley of course but I don’t think dogs are known for their SEO skills).
It was set in the gorgeous surroundings of Beechenhill Farm near Ilam in the Peak District. Just driving there in the glorious Spring Sunshine with Big Audio Dynamite “borrowed” from my hubby on the stereo, the day was already looking good.
I could never have imagined how much I would get out of the day in terms of tips, advice and inspiration for Popsyclunk.
Fantastic product photography tips were shared, information on how best to use Social Media and discussions instigated in key areas of interest for creative businesses: Pricing, pitching and getting your website out there were sparked left us wanting another whole day just to carry on the discussions.
Most of all It was lovely to take some time away from the studio and meet some like minded creatives in such a relaxed yet informative atmosphere. It was like a light bulb day rather than a light bulb moment for me!
Thankyou so much for hosting Lyndsey, Dan and Suzy. You have definitely started something new for the people who were lucky enough to attend, for me and for Popsyclunk.
